About Soundstorm
We are SOUNDSTORM, until recently, a four-piece rock band from the Caerphilly area of South Wales, we are now looking for an experienced keyboard player to help knit with us whilst enhancing our own previously arranged material .
Please do not hesitate to contact us at soundstormers@yahoo.co.uk
May 2009 saw the release of our debut album, 'Nothing in Black and White'. Four of the album tracks were produced by top UK producer, Andy Whitmore (Elton John, Eric Clapton, Eternal, Terrence Trent D'Arby, Atomic Kitten...), who contacted the band after hearing tracks on the band's MySpace site.
The album is currently receiving massive airplay in the UK , USA , Europe, Canada and Australia , and the band is in constant demand for interviews. The band was recently interviewed by ‘MON TV’, which can be viewed via: www.mon-tv.com.
SOUNDSTORM have played numerous festivals over the past couple of years, including closing the 2009 Cardiff Mardi Gras, and taking up the invitation to play the Deptford Festival, London. 'Caerphilly Big Cheese' is also on the C.V. The band have just played at our third consecutive ‘Brecon Fringe’, which runs alongside the famous Jazz Festival. See Brecon Fringe 2010 and Brecon Fringe MySpace for further details
SOUNDSTORM, have also played in such places as 'The Cavern' in Liverpool, and, performed in two showcases at 'The Point' Cardiff (2008) - to critical acclaim. 2010 sees the band writing new material, plus played at summer festivals in which they supported ‘Dr Feelgood’ at ‘The Shires Show’.
The band also performed a live BBC Radio Wales acoustic session for ‘The Evening Show’, on October 5th 2009, as well as numerous live internet radio interviews and sessions. The band have also co-hosted radio shows.
SOUNDSTORM continue to write in their own vein of music, refusing to jump on the band wagon that exists in British music, they stick to their working ethic of writing creative progressive pop rock songs. All with the popular theme of the anthemic chorus.. The music, stretching across eras, generations and genres.
